In order to access features of the Security Agent, you must use the Management Console. These utilities are not available through a web browser.
The Security Agent can be installed on servers and workstations inside your network to provide several levels of protection.
First, it reports on all the applications so that you know everything installed in your network, as well as how often each is used.
Second, it discovers all the programs newly installed in your network and reports which ones are known and unknown.
Third, it uses the virus signatures in the Content database to protect each PC from known virus attacks.
And finally, it blocks unknown programs from damaging your network.
Each Security Agent reports back to the TTC Server on all of its activity. The TTC Server that each Security
Agent uses is called the Primary Update Source. You can set the TTC Server you want to be the Primary Update Source a couple of different ways.
The easiest way is with the Network Task Manager. Right click on the domain and choose Set Primary Update Source. Fill in the name of the
TTC Server that you want your Security Agents to report to, and you are done. You can also set each PC individually with the Network Task Manager.
Finally, each user can set the Primary Update Source using the systray application Security Agent Manager.
