It's easy to get started.

1. Download the Power Agent to the clients

Download the Power Agent to all your clients. Once the Power Agent is downloaded it will start reporting power usage right away.

2. Run a "Before" Power Manager report to see what your current power usage is.

By running a "Before" Power Manager report you can determine what your current power usage is.

3. Configure Power Agent Policies

You can configure the level of power management you want by setting up Power Agent policies and then assign those policies.

  1. Create a Power Agent Property Set. A Power Agent Property Set determines how quickly a computer/monitor will go into power save mode.
  2. Create a Power Agent Policy.
  3. Set Policy Assignments on computers, domains or computerOUs.

4. Configure Power Manager Reports Properties

The Power Manager reports have Properties that allow you to configure the wattage of computers/monitors as well as your cost per kilowatt to match your specific situation.

5. Run the "After" Power Manager report

Now run the "After" Power Manager report to document savings—and email them to your superintendent, school board, or site staff.
